Who We Are

A new and aggressive approach to eliminate long-standing issues!

Promise for the North aims to work with each community, individually, to help them achieve permanent security in food, water, clothing, and shelter.

We will combine government resources with charitable donations and sponsorships, then complete projects at charitable rates. We will complete these projects quickly, making massive improvements in quality of life as fast as possible.

We are here to serve each of these wonderful communities, to make a permanent difference, allowing everyone peace of mind, comfort, and the support they need to reach for their dreams.

What Can We Help With

Imagine a charity built to raise money from multiple sources that then works with individual communities to permanently eliminate their insecurities in food, water, clothing, and shelter. That's us!

Maslow's hierarchy of needs claimed that all people must first have all of our basic needs met, then must have security and safety before we can strive to reach our maximum potential.

At Promise for the North we believe everyone should have easy and secure access to all of these basic essentials.

We understand that many of the communities in the Northern Territories have struggled, for generations, with the lack of existence of some of these basics, and nearly all lack security in them.

Further, we understand that each community is different. There needs, both immediate and long term are different. The available solutions are different. The desires of the community are different. We are here to be of service.

Our mission is to raise the funds needed then acquire the material and labour needed to realize the community's plan.

Indigenous Support

We are here to level the playing field for the Indigenous people living in the Northern Territories. Our mission is to raise as much money as we can, then collaborate with Indigenous leaders to implement the projects they want in the fashion they choose. We will use the Truth and Reconciliation Commission's Call to Action and the Inuit Societal Values as our Northern Lights and our Inukshuk, guiding our path as we eliminate the unacceptable living conditions the people currently endure.

Request a Project

We are currently raising funds to support construction projects for the Summer 2025 building season. Funding must be in place and projects must be selected by late 2024 to allow enough time to acquire material and labour contracts.

We encourage community leaders to reach out to us soon so we can work with you to design the projects that meet your needs and desires. Whether it is clean water, good homes, healthy food, or any other pressing needs, please reach out. We are happy to help!
