Since 1999, the Government of Nunavut has used the eight Inuit societal values as guidance.

Promise for the North is a charity that exists to help every northern community improve the quality of life for all of their families. As such, we acknowledge the Inuit societal values and commit to using them to guide all of our actions with the Inuit people and the governments of Nunangat and all of its communities.

All of our efforts to provide each community with easy and secure access to the basic needs of life: water, food, clothing, and shelter, are completely aligned with the Inuit societal values.  We are excited to have the opportunity to help and look forward to a bright future for all!
